Overview
Secure Access VPN is an access management system that protects company servers and internal tools behind a self-hosted VPN on a VPS. Only authenticated and authorized users and devices can reach internal resources, with role-based access, multi-factor authentication and full audit logs.
Objectives
- Deploy and harden the VPS and VPN server.
- Design the access policy model covering roles, groups and resources.
- Build an administration portal and audit dashboard.
Features
- Self-hosted VPN on a VPS using WireGuard or OpenVPN.
- User, group and role-based access policies.
- Multi-factor authentication and single sign-on.
- Device onboarding and access revocation.
- Access logs, monitoring and security alerts.
Technologies and profile
WireGuard / OpenVPN, Keycloak, Linux Ubuntu, UFW / iptables, Fail2ban, Docker and Grafana. Profile: Network / Security engineering. Type: Cybersecurity / Infrastructure. One intern is planned.
