Project

Transform the SIOTH® Industrial IT-OT-IoT platform’s MQTT broker from an on-premises deployment managed separately for each customer into a multi-tenant SaaS platform on Azure. The platform should allow customers to subscribe, provision secure brokers within minutes, and pay as they go without managing infrastructure.

Main features

• Multi-tenant brokers with isolated namespaces.
• Self-service portal for sign-up, provisioning, and credential management.
• TLS encryption, ACLs, and per-tenant authentication.
• Usage metering, quotas, and subscription plans.
• Auto-scaling, high availability, and monitoring.

Objectives and deliverables

• Study SaaS architectures and multi-tenancy models.
• Design the platform architecture on Azure.
• Develop the tenant provisioning and management portal.
• Implement security, metering, and monitoring.
• Validate scalability through load and failover tests.
• Deliver source code, Infrastructure as Code scripts, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deliver a self-service portal and administration dashboard.
• Produce documentation, including the report, design documentation, and test reports.

• MQTT brokers available on demand within minutes.
• A new subscription-based offer for SIOTH.
• A scalable, secure, and highly available service.
