Context
SIOTH® Unified HMI (UHMI) provides web-based SCADA views, alarms and dashboards. Configuring tags, data models and views, or migrating displays from legacy SCADA systems, currently relies on manual intervention and expert knowledge.
Project
Build an AI configuration assistant based on an MCP server exposing SIOTH configuration to LLMs, together with a converter that transforms legacy HMI displays into UHMI views.
Main topics
- Study MCP, LLM tool calling and UHMI APIs.
- Develop a SIOTH MCP server for tags, models and views.
- Build a legacy-display-to-UHMI-view converter.
- Add a natural-language assistant with user approval.
- Validate accuracy and security on real projects.
Deliverables
- MCP server and views converter source code.
- Configuration assistant integrated into UHMI.
- Documentation including report, design report and test reports.
Expected results
Faster SCADA configuration and HMI migration, fewer errors through guided configuration, and an AI-ready SIOTH platform for engineering teams.
