AXEHEAL 2.0: ADVANCED SELF-HEALING

Internship

• Field: SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
• Duration: 6 months
• Paid internship with a flexible workplace model allowing remote and on-site work where possible.

Problem

UI changes break automated tests even when the business flow still works. AxeHeal v1 heals only part of these breaks, and careless healing can hide a real bug.

Key tasks

• Audit and refactor AxeHeal v1.
• Establish baseline metrics and add unit tests.
• Add healing levels covering fingerprint, semantic, visual, smart synchronization, popups, and flow.
• Turn healings into permanent script fixes through automatic pull requests and a learning loop.
• Implement guardrails: never touch assertions, and fail instead of healing when confidence is low.

Success criteria

• Healing rate above the v1 baseline.
• False-healing rate close to zero.
• Low overhead per healed step.
• Less script maintenance per ACP release.

Candidate profile and requirements

• Final-year software engineering student.
• Python, Selenium, DOM / XPath / CSS.
• OpenCV basics, Chrome DevTools Protocol, and LLM APIs are a plus.
• Rigorous, with an interest in clean code and measurable results.
