TOPIC 1 - Design and Implementation of an Intelligent Parking Management System: Dynamic Decision-Making and Business Rules for Seamless Operations

Build an intelligent parking management system that reduces manual operator interventions by executing predefined business rules in real time using a DMN engine. The system will automatically evaluate scenarios (exceptions, enforcement actions, campaigns) and select appropriate actions to ensure consistent decisions, faster response times, and better operator/driver experience.

Key tasks:

• Model and execute business rules for diverse parking scenarios with DMN (Drools)
• Ingest and act on real-time data to automate decisions
• Implement backend services and a simple UI to observe actions/results
• Validate decision quality, latency, and robustness
