Framatome is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a CFD Simulation Engineer. The primary focus of this role is to optimize the design of fuel assemblies by simulating thermal mixing of components using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
Responsibilities:
- Phase 1 – Validation on Complex Configurations:
- Understand and build upon previous work done in 2025.
- Apply CFD methodology to various types of mixing grids.
- Compare numerical results with available experimental data to validate the methodology on more complex configurations.
- Phase 2 – Adaptation to Near-Boiling Crisis Two-Phase Flow:
- Enhance the methodology to adapt to near-boiling crisis conditions in two-phase flow.
- Evaluate the performance of this new approach compared to other analysis methodologies in two-phase flow conditions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations.
- Knowledge of thermal mixing and heat transfer processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
