Project overview:
- Design and implement a dynamic Power BI dashboard that consumes data from Odoo ERP to visualize key business metrics (sales, inventory, procurement, financial performance).
- Build a robust data extraction and transformation process from Odoo to Power BI, ensuring data quality, refreshability, and performance.
What you will do / Responsibilities:
- Extract and transform data from Odoo ERP (using APIs, direct DB access, or export pipelines) and prepare it for reporting in Power BI.
- Design data models, relationships, and measures (DAX) inside Power BI to support KPI calculations and performant dashboards.
- Create interactive dashboards and reports showing sales trends, inventory levels, procurement status, and financial performance with appropriate visuals and filters.
- Implement data refresh schedules, incremental refresh where applicable, and optimize report performance for end users.
Required expertise / Skills:
- Proficiency with Power BI: report design, data modeling, DAX, and Power Query (M).
- Understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard design best practices to present KPIs clearly.
- Familiarity with Odoo ERP data structures (sales, stock, purchase, accounting) or ability to explore and map ERP tables/objects to business metrics.
- Experience with ETL/data integration tools or scripting (SQL, Python, APIs) to extract and transform ERP data.
Deliverables & team context:
- Deliver a production-ready Power BI solution (data model, reports, documentation) enabling stakeholders to monitor sales, inventory, procurement, and finance.
- Provide documentation, data lineage notes, and a handover to the R&D team for maintenance and future evolution.
