6 AI Engineer AI Agent for DB-Tuning PFE

Overview

• Role: AI Engineer to develop an AI Agent for DB-Tuning, combining database expertise with ML/NLP/LLM techniques.
• Duration and context: PFE Book 2026 — internship for ~6 months (4-6 months).

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and implement an AI agent that performs automated database tuning and query optimization across major database engines.
• Integrate learning components (RL, evolutionary algorithms) and LLM/NLP modules to analyze queries, execution plans and suggest or apply tunings.
• Experiment, test and benchmark tuning strategies on real workloads and at least one major DB engine.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python and Rust.
• Deep understanding of database internals and query optimization; hands-on experience tuning at least one major database engine.
• Experience with machine learning, NLP and/or LLMs; knowledge of reinforcement learning or evolutionary algorithms.
