26 CodePair AI: Intelligent Collaborative Development Environment with AI-Powered Pair Programming PFE

Objective

• Design and develop CodePair AI: an intelligent collaborative development environment that supports AI-powered pair programming with real-time synchronization.
• Build an AI assistant that actively participates in pair programming, provides context-aware suggestions and performs live code review during collaborative sessions.

Expected Deliverables

• Fully integrated IA service and complete web application (frontend + backend) implementing real-time collaborative coding and pair-programming workflows.
• Code review automation, research paper on AI code assistance effectiveness, benchmark report (accuracy, latency), and performance testing report (latency, throughput).

Technical Stack & Tools

• Backend: Spring Boot / Java and Node.js; AI: Claude / OpenAI; Communication: WebSocket for real-time synchronization and search/API integration.
• Frontend: Next.js + React + TypeScript; Infrastructure: Docker Compose, Kubernetes manifests, CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Implement backend services and integrate AI APIs for context-aware suggestions and automated code review.
• Build frontend collaborative editor with real-time synchronization, session management, and UI for AI-assisted pair programming.
• Create CI/CD pipelines, containerization and Kubernetes manifests for deployment and performance testing.

Evaluation & Reports

• Deliver a research paper evaluating the effectiveness of the AI code assistant in pair programming scenarios.
• Provide benchmark and performance testing reports covering accuracy, latency, and throughput metrics.

Internship Details

• Duration: 6 months (pre-employment internship).
