Project Overview:
- Development of an intelligent mobile application to manage vehicle documents and automate accident reporting.
- Key features: document scanning and storage, automated OCR extraction, expiration reminders, and digital accident report generation.
Core Responsibilities:
- Implement mobile features for scanning, storing and indexing vehicle documents with OCR-based data extraction.
- Design and develop an automated accident-reporting workflow that uses stored documents, user photos and computer vision to pre-fill reports and generate an automatic scene sketch.
Technical Stack & Tools:
- Frontend / Mobile: React Native (TypeScript) for cross-platform mobile development.
- Backend / Services: Java or Python for server-side logic and APIs; MongoDB for document storage.
- AI / OCR / CV: Google ML Kit and OpenAI Vision API for OCR, object detection, impact identification and scene analysis.
Computer Vision & Automation Details:
- Use computer vision to identify vehicles, detect impact locations and produce an automatic scene sketch based on photos.
- Combine OCR-extracted data from documents with CV outputs to auto-generate a digital accident report that users can review and complete.
Security & UX Considerations:
- Ensure secure storage of sensitive vehicle documents and photos (access control and data encryption best practices).
- Provide a user-friendly flow for quick reporting, reminders before document expiration, and easy sharing of completed reports with insurance companies.
Candidate Profile & Requirements:
- Engineer profile with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
- Skills: mobile development (React Native/TypeScript), backend programming (Java/Python), familiarity with MongoDB, and experience with OCR/CV or AI APIs.
