Project Overview
- Transform any physical space into an interactive art gallery or museum using MR and VR, with primary support for Quest 3 headsets.
- Users explore artifacts, 3D models and multimedia content; curators can customize exhibition layouts, elements and avatars to match themed shows.
Key Features (as described)
- Immersive artifact interaction: users reveal detailed information about each piece via hand gestures and natural interactions.
- 3D models of objects and monuments: inspect statues, coins and artifacts closely with gesture-based inspection.
- Gamified challenges and puzzles: treasure hunts, missions and clues that encourage exploration of the exhibition.
- Customizable exhibition content: curators can configure 3D environments, multimedia assets and avatars for personalized exhibitions.
- Multiplayer and solo modes: visitors can explore alone or collaboratively, solving challenges together.
- Cross-platform scalability: design supports MR, VR, AR and Web experiences to reach a wide audience.
Responsibilities / Expected Tasks
- Implement MR/VR experiences targeting Quest 3 headsets and extend functionality to AR/Web where applicable.
- Develop gesture-driven interactions for artifact inspection and UI navigation; implement puzzle and challenge mechanics.
- Integrate and optimize 3D assets (statues, coins, artifacts) and multimedia content for interactive display.
- Build curator-facing tools for customizing exhibition layout, avatars and content; ensure runtime configurability.
- Implement multiplayer/synchronization systems so multiple visitors can interact in shared sessions.
Technical Requirements & Skills (desired)
- Experience with XR development (Unity or Unreal), XR SDKs and Quest 3 development/optimization.
- Proficiency in C# (Unity) or C++/BluePrints (Unreal), shader/graphics optimization and 3D asset pipelines.
- Familiarity with hand-tracking/gesture input, networking/multiplayer frameworks, and WebXR or cross-platform tooling.
- Ability to design gamified interactions, puzzle logic and robust curator interfaces for content customization.
